It is one of the top 3 most coveted titles in world beauty pageants. Miss Earth 2007 will be the largest pageant ever, devoted to the single most important cause, our environment, and the future of our Mother Earth. Entrants from across the globe are currently being selected from the hundreds of thousands of hopefuls dreaming to be a beauty on the world stage.   Miss Earth Australia Pty Ltd, the producers of the Miss Earth Australia 2007 competition, is an Australian company that advances and supports today's women with an environmental cause. Contestants, who become part of Miss Earth Australia, are savvy, goal-oriented and environmentally aware, displaying those characteristics in their everyday lives. They are also committed to playing a part in preserving the environment for future generations. The Miss Earth Australia pageant has been brought about by the need to establish professionally produced pageants in Australia. Miss Earth Australia will be an individual who can make a positive contribution to our community, our country and the world by becoming a role model for raising awareness about environmental issues that affect all of us today.

How to join
	Because many people admire and aspire to be a beauty queen, we believe beauty queens would be a good and effective advocate of worthy causes. To give life to this vision, we organised and launched the Miss Earth Australia beauty pageant to join the Miss Earth Beauty Pageant, two beauty events whose raison d’etre was to have its candidates and winners actively promote and get involved in the preservation of the environment and the protection of Mother Earth. Following an extensive interview and selection process, up to 30 candidates from around the nation will be chosen to compete in the final Miss Earth Australia pageant in Sydney for the ultimate honor of representing Australia in the global Miss Earth competition. The contest gains extensive media coverage domestically, and across the globe. We are looking for fun and cheerful, earth-loving participants with a personality to motivate others towards this good cause. To be a part of this incredible event, applicants have to attend a state (or territory) pre-selection. This includes a screening interview to ensure that each contestant is environmentally aware. The panel of judges will then select candidates to go forward into each regional heat. Airfares, transfers, accommodation, food and attractions will be provided. Prizes will be announced by sponsors in the near future. The winner will go for 3 weeks for the international pageant, Miss Earth International. Sydney applications should be received by 31 May, 2007. Please note: entry photographs and any other material sent to us will not be returned. These items will remain the property of the Organizer. Entrants will be notified by email or phone. Outside this date any late applications may be accepted at the discretion of organisers. Please contact us if you wish to apply outside the 31st May for any reason. We wish all contestants the best of luck and we urge any young ladies who are interested in this contest to give it a go. In our experience the contestants have fun, become more environmentally aware and have a chance of participating in a glamorous lifestyle. It's not necessary to be a professional model to enter into this prestigious event. However to satisfy the entry criteria you must be: At least 5ft 6inches, 168cm tall  Between 18 and 25 years of age (during reigning period) Completed at least secondary schooling (High School graduate) Never been married, not currently pregnant and has never given birth Interested in Environmental issues Available for travel to Sydney in September, 2007 Australian Winner is required to be able to attend the international final!
